Joshua Champagne DBA Ledger House Bookkeeping & Tax respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to lh-bt.com and to text messages we send. Effective October 15, 2026.

Information we collect

When you submit our consultation or contact form, we collect the details you choose to provide: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, how you heard about us, any message you send, and whether you ticked either of our text message consent boxes. We collect this so we can respond to your request and talk through how we can help.

Any financial or business records you later share with us as a client are handled separately, with care and confidentiality, and are never posted publicly or sold. This website itself does not ask you to submit sensitive financial documents through the form.

Like most websites, we may also collect standard technical information such as your browser type, device, and the pages you visit, through cookies and basic analytics. This helps us understand how the site is used and improve it.

How we use your information

We use what you send us for:

Responding to your request or message and setting up a consultation.
Following up on your inquiry and answering your questions.
Text messages, only if you opted in, and only the type you agreed to.
Improving our website and learning which pages are helpful.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to operate our business, such as the services that host this website and process form submissions, or when required by law.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use cookies and analytics tools to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the pages. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling them will not stop you from using the site.

Text messages (SMS)

We only send text messages to people who opt in. Our website form has two separate consent boxes, one for service messages (your consultation request, appointment scheduling and reminders, document requests and updates on your bookkeeping and tax work) and one for marketing messages (special offers, discounts and service updates). Neither box is pre-ticked, and neither is required to submit the form. Giving us your phone number on its own does not sign you up for text messages.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or STOP to opt out at any time. Full program details are in our Terms & Conditions.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we protect your information

Form submissions travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and are stored in access-controlled business accounts that only our team and the service providers who run this website can reach. We keep what you send only as long as we need it to respond to you and to run our business.

Your rights and choices

Unsubscribe from text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Ask us to update or correct the information you gave us.
Ask us to delete the information you submitted through the site.
Disable cookies in your browser settings.
